Unfortunately, late model racing was not on Mother Nature’s agenda this weekend; as most of Fully Injected’s ‘Late Model Division’ was left in the rain with nothing to do.
Joe Martin, and the entire JM2 Motorsports program, had intended on making an appearance at the Fastrak Grand Nationals opener at Dog Hollow Speedway in Strongstown, Pennsylvania; but that is no longer the case. Inclement western Pennsylvania weather has decided to put a hold on all crate late model racing this weekend; as the entire Fastrak Grand Nationals scheduled weekend, including the Sunday raindate, has been cancelled due to rain.
South Park, Pennsylvania’s, Jared Miley, will only have Friday night’s results to talk about this week; as incoming weather put a damper on the tonight’s scheduled UFO – Big Kahuna 44 at The Rock Speedway in Cumberland, Maryland. During Friday night preliminary action, Miley earned a top 10 finish at the giant, 5/8’s mile dirt oval. He would secure a spot in the feature lineup by winning his respective heat race; and eventually hang on to finish 9th after starting 8th in the 30 lap, preliminary feature. There were 28 cars signed in for the event. Today’s Big Kahuna was cancelled by 10 AM.
Gregg Satterlee would also suffer from similar wet fate this weekend; as his scheduled weekend at Hummingbird Speedway in Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania, for the super late model ‘Chili 100’ was cancelled before the weekend even started. It’s scheduled rain date is next Saturday night, October 8th.
