Six time Australian Sprintcar Champion, Garry Brazier, picked up the victory last evening at Murray Bridge Speedway for round no. 5 of the World Series Sprintcars. Brazier’s win snapped a two race win streak for James McFadden – who currently leads the World Series Sprintcars standings entering tonight’s round no. 6 (round no. 3 of speedweek) event at Borderline Speedway in Mt. Gambier, Australia. Last night’s event also acted as round no. 2 of this year’s WSS Speedweek.
Garry Brazier was the victor in the 35 lap main event; followed by multi-time World Series Sprintcars Champion, Brooke Tatnell, and former ASCS National Champion, Jason Johnson. David Murcott and Robbie Farr rounded out the top five.
Tonight’s event (Dec 28th in Australia) at Borderline Speedway will cap off a three race swing for the series. The World Series Sprintcars will have Thursday evening off before resuming speedweek competition on Friday, December 30th with round no. 4 of WSS Speedweek and round no. 7 of the overall tour.
