Genesis Racing Shocks Joins NDRL Sponsor Line-Up for 2014

Phoenix, Arizona (January 1, 2014) Officials of the National Dirt Racing League are pleased to announce the addition of Genesis Racing Shocks to the 2014 line-up of series sponsors. Headquartered in Roswell, Georgia Genesis Racing Shocks was established in March of 2006. Though Genesis Shocks is a relatively new company the founding principles of Genesis, Mike Farr and Mike Lutz, are anything but NEW to the shock absorber industry. They have over 60 years’ experience between them in the shock absorbers and the racing industry.

“We are very pleased to be working with Mike and Mike and that entire Genesis Shocks group. They are racetrack-proven with countless wins over the last several years. Genesis has managed to stay on the cusp of technology and innovation through their immense industry experience and close communication with their racers. There are a lot of racers that are winning and dominating with Genesis – taking that experience to the bank so to speak. It is great to have them on board with the NDRL and we look forward to a great relationship in the future.” stated NDRL Marketing Director Jason Babyak.

Mike Farr is a former dirt track and drag racer who spent numerous years working in the automotive field. He then went on to spend 27 years in the racing shock business including stints with Carrera Shocks and Pro Shocks. Farr has also worked in the racing fuel business. Additionally, Farr has worked extensively in short track marketing, sponsor activation, public relations and promotions and has been featured in national publications Speedway Illustrated, Stock Car Racing, Trackside, Area Auto Racing News and others.

Mike Lutz, after graduating from Georgia Tech, spent seven years as an officer in the Army, serving with distinction in Korea and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Transitioning into the civilian world, he joined Monroe Shocks as a Technical Sales Representative and was recognized as the Outstanding District Salesman. He then owned and operated a NAPA jobbing operation and after a few years joined Carrera Shocks, moving into manufacturing. In his over twenty years with Carrera he was the Vice-President and General Manager and later Vice-President for Engineering.
