GM Gary Risch Jr. honored by World of Outlaws Late Model Series
Local drivers close 2013 season at World Finals in Charlotte, NC
2014 Lernerville tickets just in time for Black Friday!
Sarver, PA (November 20, 2013) It’s true that “All Dirt Roads lead to Charlotte” and the end of that road is the World Racing Group’s “Night of Champions” Awards Banquet following the epic World Finals Weekend at the Dirt Track at Lowes Motor Speedway. And while 2013 Series Champions Daryn Pittman, Josh Richards and Brett Hearn took the stage to accept their Championship accolades, Lernerville Speedway General Manager Gary Risch Jr. walked onto the same stage to accept a Promoter’s equivalent to a Series Championship.
World of Outlaws Late Model Series director Tim Christman presented the tour’s 2013 Promoter of the Year Award to Risch who helped mastermind and grow the Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com into a Crown Jewel event of Dirt Late Model racing. He is also an integral part of the DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park, Super DIRT Week in New York and the World Finals in Charlotte.
Risch was not the only one to make the trek from Lernerville Speedway to the World Finals in Charlotte. Sprint car drivers Tim Shaffer, Dale Blaney, Danny Holtgraver and Jack Sodeman Jr. joined the World of Outlaws STP Sprint car series, while Gregg Satterlee, John Garvin Jr. and Bryan Force joined the World of Outlaws Late Models. All Time division wins leader Brian Swartzlander and 2013 Track Champion Mat Williamson made the tow to Charlotte as well to battle the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds along with Jeremiah Shingledecker and Erik Martin.
