BENTON RIDGE, Ohio (August 19, 2024) – Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing were almost perfect in their two-day swing through the Badger State, not only accomplishing back-to-back podium finishes with the IRA Outlaw Sprint Series, but attaining a victory in the process, doing so in an impressive manner at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin, on Saturday, August 17.
Impressive as noted, Wilson, ace of his own Hercules Tires, Ohio Logistics Warehousing & Transportation, DNC Hydraulics, No. W20 sprint car, scored his Wilmot triumph from the outside of row seven, rallying big to not only check off his first victory of the season, but simultaneously achieve the evening’s Hard Charger Award; Wilson advanced the most feature positions.
Not stopping there, Wilson’s road trip through the land of cheese continued Sunday, August 18, at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, nearly doubling up on victories with a third-place finish after starting in the exact same position. The podium helped the Benton Ridge, Ohio, native and former All Star champion increase his season’s top-ten count to 14, 11 of which within the top-five.
