BENTON RIDGE, Ohio (September 9, 2024) – It was a last minute decision, but the decision certainly paid off, as Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing continued their 2024 campaign with a one night stay at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio, on Saturday, September 7. Wilson, a recent IRA Outlaw Sprint Series main event winner, finished fifth in his visit to the southern Ohio highbanks, improving three positions after commencing action from row four.
For Wilson, ace of his own Hercules Tires, Ohio Logistics Warehousing & Transportation, DNC Hydraulics, No. W20 sprint car, the result was not only beneficial from a statistical standpoint, improving his top-ten tally to 18 in 2024 – 15 of which top-fives – but from a momentum standpoint, as well, as major events stand ahead at two potential destinations.
“We’ve been having a great last several weeks and I owe it all to my family. Not sure of the plan yet for this weekend, like much of our recent schedule has been, but wherever we end up, we’ll be ready,” Wilson said. “It’s hard to believe we’re rolling right through September. There’s still a lot of racing left on our plate.”
