BENTON RIDGE, Ohio (June 11, 2024) – The 2024 edition of Ohio Sprint Speedweek featuring FAST On Dirt has been action-packed thus far, and Benton Ridge, Ohio’s Greg Wilson has been right in the mix, opening the nine-race slate with a podium finish at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, on Friday, June 7. Wilson, a former Ohio Sprint Speedweek champion, finished second in his podium appearance, commencing main event competition from the outside of row two.
A late race caution gave Wilson an opportunity to steal the $6,000 score, but eventual winner Cap Henry proved too strong.
Although round two of Ohio Sprint Speedweek ultimately fell victim to Mother Nature, action resumed with visits to Waynesfield Raceway Park and Wayne County Speedway on Sunday and Monday, June 9-10. Despite falling short of matching his Friday podium outcome, Wilson’s “Wayne” results were consistent, finishing 13th and 15th, respectively.
“A solid start to our Ohio Sprint Speedweek schedule. We worked hard to match our Attica results the following three nights, but we’ve been pleased with what we’ve accomplished to this point. We still have a long way to go,” Wilson, ace of the Hercules Tires, Ohio Logistics Warehousing & Transportation, DNC Hydraulics, No. W20 sprint car, expressed. “A big thanks to everyone who got us here, especially my family. They are the backbone of this entire operation.”
