BENTON RIDGE, Ohio (February 16, 2023) – Despite a weather-shortened Florida campaign that ruined plans to join the United Sprint Car Series (USCS) at Southern Raceway, followed by an anticlimactic two-day visit to East Bay Raceway Park, Benton Ridge, Ohio’s Greg Wilson remains focused and eager for the new year, ready take on whatever sits ahead for his family-owned W20.
As mentioned, Wilson invaded Tampa, Florida’s East Bay Raceway Park for two days during the recent week, joining the All Star Circuit of Champions for their segment of East Bay’s annual Winternationals. Despite missing main event competition on each occasion, the former two-time Series champion is happy to shake loose the rust, already aiming for redemption when the Series visits Attica in early April.
“It’s good to be back in Florida. We didn’t have the results we wanted, but we were happy to be there and we enjoyed ourselves,” Wilson, driver of the Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics Warehousing and Transportation, No. W20 sprint car, said. “It feels good to shake a little rust off. We have a long season ahead and we won’t be deterred by what happened at East Bay.
“We’ll be representing Hercules Tires at an appearance in Georgia this Friday. If you’re nearby, I invite you to come out and spend the day with us,” Wilson added. “Hercules Tires is a very important piece of the Greg Wilson Racing puzzle and we’re excited to get out and meet some Hercules customers at Appling Tire in Baxley.”
