BENTON RIDGE, Ohio (August 26, 2024) – Making the switch to 360 sprint car competition (with the intent to save lap time on his 410 inventory) worked out in Greg Wilson’s favor, not only accumulating back-to-back top-five finishes with the Great Lakes Super Sprints (GLSS), but doing so close to home, joining the Michigan-based Series at Waynesfield Raceway Park and Millstream Speedway on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Wilson, ace of his own Hercules Tires, Ohio Logistics Warehousing & Transportation, DNC Hydraulics, No. W20 sprint car, finished fourth and second in his weekend showing, highlighting each of his outcomes with an impressive rally from 13th at Waynesfield Raceway Park.
Wilson’s weekend performances also padded his 2024 stat card, climbing his way to 13 top-fives on the year, one of which an IRA Outlaw Sprint Series victory at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin.
“Overall, just a fun weekend for my family and I. Our partners play a pivotal role in allowing us to do what we do, but it’s my family that gets me through the weekends. I have the hardest working team in the pit area,” Wilson was quick to acknowledge. “Having success, and being so close to home, is just a great way to keep our momentum and confidence up. We’re excited to see what next weekend brings.”
ON DECK:
Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing will continue their 2024 campaign with Attica Raceway Park’s two-day Attica Ambush on Friday and Saturday, August 30-31 (Saturday still TBD), followed by a visit to Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio, on Sunday, September 1.
