Western Pennsylvania super late model stand-out and Fully Injected ‘Late Model Division’ representative, Gregg Satterlee, plans to head south in the coming weeks for the annual Florida/Georgia speedweeks! The Rochester Mills native has tentative plans to follow the World of Outlaws Late Model Series through the south during the very early parts of the 2012 season.

The first stop on the tentative 2012 campaign for Gregg Satterlee will take place at the Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia, for the annual Winter Freeze! The 60 lap, $20,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series event will take shape on Friday and Saturday, February 10th and 11th – with a practice session scheduled for Thursday, February 9th!

From there, the familiar no. 22 Rocket will venture to Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida for three days of World of Outlaws Late Model Series action. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, February 16th, 17th, and 18th, are the dates scheduled for the World of Outlaws Ocala invasion. Each night will see a pay increase to the event winner; beginning with Thursday night’s feature winner receiving $8,000! On Friday, the winner’s share increases to $10,000 – with Saturday’s finale paying $12,000 to the winner!

The last stop on Satterlee’s ‘tentative’ spring vacation includes six nights of UMP and World of Outlaws Late Model Series action at Volusia Raceway Park near Daytona Beach, Florida. Monday, February 20th through Saturday, February 25th, are the scheduled dates for super late model action at Volusia during it’s annual DIRTcar Nationals! The World of Outlaws will sanction the Thursday night and Saturday night portions of the DIRTcar Nationals super late model program; with the remaining four evenings staying under UMP rule. The events will pay $10,000 to win!

“These are the hopeful plans anyways…” explained 27 year old Satterlee when discussing the possible Georgia/Florida venture, “not sure if we will do all of the nights that we have talked about- but its a definite possibility!”

Although a majority of Satterlee’s southern schedule may include World of Outlaws Late Model Series events, he has not signed on ‘full time’ with the series in 2012. His approach to the rest of the summer will include a more familiar, regional schedule like 2011:

“We plan on running a similar, regional schedule like the past few seasons…” explained the Satterlee Fuels pilot, “everybody seems to think we signed on (with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series) but we didnt.”
