Indiana, PA (January 19th, 2015) – Western Pennsylvania’s Gregg Satterlee recently announced that he will return south this February, and launch his 2015 super late model campaign with competition in Georgia and Florida. The Rochester Mills, Pennsylvania native, who now resides in Indiana, PA, will join the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series during his venture south; racing at three different venues during a three week time period.
“We are just about ready to go…things are coming together nicely” explained Gregg Satterlee regarding his ‘off-season’ preparations, “Our plans for February haven’t really changed a whole lot…we’ll start things off in Georgia, then head to Tampa…we’ll spend a week in Tampa then head up to Volusia for a week…hopefully we can get the year rolling in the right direction…a successful trip south will really set the tone for the rest of the year.”
Satterlee will launch his 2015 campaign at the Golden Isles Speedway near Waynesville, Georgia. ‘The Truth’ will spend three days at Golden Isles Speedway; competing with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series during the ‘Super Bowl of Racing’ weekend on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 5th, 6th & 7th. The weekend will feature a $7,000-to-win main event on Thursday, followed by back-to-back $10,000-to-win main events on Friday and Saturday.
After a weekend in Waynesville, Georgia, Satterlee will make the four hour tow south to Tampa, Florida where he will spend a week competing once again with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Gregg Satterlee will take part in the 39th Annual East Bay ‘Winternationals’ at the East Bay Raceway Park near Tampa, Florida from February 9th through 14th. The super late models will be the headline for six straight days; racing for prizes ranging from $5,000 to $10,000.
‘The Truth’ will end his Florida/Georgia trip with a visit to the Volusia Speedway Park near Barberville, Florida for the 44th Annual ‘DIRTcar Nationals.’ Satterlee will compete at Volusia for six straight days; beginning Monday, February 16th. The UMP Late Models will sanction events on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, February 16th, 17th & 18th; with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series taking over as the sanctioning body from Thursday until Saturday, February 19th through 21st. Each World of Outlaws Late Model Series program will award $10,000 to the winner.
“We’ll race for almost three straight weeks” said Gregg Satterlee, “It’s a lot to prepare for but we are excited…I can’t thank Robby and my Dad enough for what they do for this team…our 2014 season ended at Charlotte in early November…doesn’t give you a lot of time to get ready for a multi-week trip south…the team works hard and makes it possible.”
