YORK, Pa. (August 5, 2019) – Despite an unfortunate circumstance cutting the main event short at Williams Grove Speedway, York, Pennsylvania’s Cory Haas managed to score a podium performance for Trone Outdoor Motorsports, finishing third, officially, during the 2019 installment of the Billy Kimmel Memorial on Friday, August 2.
Although unable to double-up and score a second consecutive podium performance during action at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, August 3 (scored 19th during the annual Living Legends Dream Race after blowing a tire with nine laps remaining), Haas’ season has been successful, as well as consistent, now with nine top-ten performances at Williams Grove Speedway in 2019.
Impressive enough, Haas also earned an 11th place performance against the World of Outlaws during the annual Summer Nationals.
“We’ve been getting things figured out at Williams Grove Speedway, so that feels pretty good. It’s tough because the surface is never the same. You have to have a solid team who gives a great effort to be consistent, and that’s exactly what I have,” Cory Haas said, driver of John Trone’s Trone Outdoor Motorsports/Trone Outdoor Advertising/York PB Truss/Wicked Cushion/Bricker’s/Old Republic Distillery/Creekside Auto Sales/No. 39 sprint car. “I can’t thank John Trone enough for this opportunity. Cory Haas and Trone Outdoor Motorsports will continue their 2019 campaign on Saturday, August 10, with a visit to the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania.
