TULSA, Okla. (March 1, 2022) – Effective immediately, Stockton, California’s JJ Loss is heading east to Tulsa, Oklahoma, set to make his Midget debut aboard Dave Mac Dalby Motorsports’ No. 67 for a full-on Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series campaign. The Series, also making its inaugural debut, features a 12-race schedule spanning April 1 through October 15, kicking off officially with a doubleheader at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois, on Friday and Saturday, April 1-2.
“This is an opportunity of a lifetime and I couldn’t be more grateful for the chance to drive for David McIntosh, Robert Dalby, and all of Dave Mac Dalby Motorsports,” JJ Loss said, a regular competitor within the National Open Wheel 600 Series (NOW600) ranks. “It’s going to be a big learning curve, but with a team like this in my corner, I’m confident I’ll progress quickly. I have the determination to succeed and I’m going to do everything I can to represent DMD Motorsports at the highest level.”
“We’re very excited to sign JJ to the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series in 2022,” David McIntosh explained. “JJ gives this team the youth it has been lacking and we can’t wait to see how he meshes with our current veteran lineup. We see JJ as a driver that can develop and be good for the sport for years to come.”
“He’s going to be a great fit,” Robert Dalby added. “I think I speak for everyone when I say we can’t wait to begin working with JJ.”
As expected, a California resident competing with a team based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, can be a logistical challenge, but Loss and his family hope to bypass the challenges by uprooting to eastern Kansas.
“We felt this was in our best interest,” Jason Loss added, JJ’s father, about his family’s move to Kansas. “We all wanted to be closer to the team, and this made the most sense, especially with a lot of JJ’s NOW600 commitments based right in that area of the country. There’s still a lot of travel involved with his Midget schedule, but being in California puts us way out of the picture. Moving to Kansas will get us right in the heat of the action.”
As aforementioned, in addition to his Dave Mac Dalby Motorsports commitments, Loss will continue to maintain his presence within the NOW600 Series, aiming all of his focus on National Stock Non-Wing and Winged A Class competition.
“It’s going to be a busy summer, but I’m ready,” JJ Loss concluded. “I can’t thank everyone enough for their support.”
