CHICORA, Pa. (June 20, 2022) – Despite a frustrating few starts that led to an early retirement in Sharon Speedway’s Ohio Sprint Speedweek program on Tuesday, June 14, and a “DNF” result at Lernerville Speedway on Friday, June 17, Chicora, Pennsylvania’s George Hobaugh was finally able to revive his rhythm, ending the recent weekend with a top-five outcome at Dirt’s Monster Half Mile, Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, Pennsylvania.

Hobaugh, driver of the Hobaugh Motorsports, Krill Recycling, Laskowski Plumbing, Ridgeview Security, Hobaugh’s Auto Parts, Hobo Storage, No. 40 sprint car, finished fifth in his Pittsburgh visit on June 18, starting in the exact same position as he finished. The former PPMS winner, accomplished on May 28th, hopes to utilize the top-five as a momentum kick for his return to Sharon on June 25.

“It was a pretty rough week, but we were able to rebound a little bit and that always feels good,” Hobaugh said. “We’ll do whatever we can to put ourselves in a position to win on Saturday at Sharon.”
