Holtgraver Earns Podium Finish at Wayne County, Central Pennsylvania Next!
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
PITTSBURGH (April 21, 2016) – For the first time in 2016, “Downtown” Danny Holtgraver earned a podium finish during Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions competition, finishing second at Wayne County Speedway near Orrville, Ohio, on Saturday, April 16. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, native, who is a full-time traveler on the circuit with Premiere Motorsports and car owner Pete Grove, started fourth on the feature grid and challenged for the top spot the entire 30-lap distance, only to come up one position short to veteran Jac Haudenschild. For Holtgraver, the runner-up finish was a great stepping stone for his team, as they prepare for an upcoming doubleheader in Central Pennsylvania.
“So close, but we’ll take that result and move ahead,” explained Danny Holtgraver. “It was a great accomplishment for our team. I think momentum has been the hardest thing for me to accomplish over the last season or so. A podium finish certainly helps change that. I think we have a great combination. Pete Grove gives us great equipment and keeps us prepared. Cody Jacobs busts his butt day-in and day-out. We are excited to get back to Central Pennsylvania this weekend.”
Danny Holtgraver and Premier Motorsports will continue their 2016 Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions campaign this Saturday and Sunday, April 23-24, with a pair of half-mile stops in Central Pennsylvania. Holtgraver will visit Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal on Saturday evening, April 23, for the inaugural Keith Kauffman Classic, all before traveling further east to the Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove on Sunday, April 24, for the Ray Tilley Classic. Each Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions program will award a $5,000 top prize. Holtgraver will enter the weekend eighth in the current Arctic Cat All Star championship standings, six points shy of the top-five.
“We’ve been strong at both race tracks we’re visiting this weekend,” said Holtgraver. “I’ve always really enjoyed traveling into Central Pennsylvania. The atmosphere is second to none, and the fans are incredible. They really love their sprint car racing in that area of the state, and they have the competition to back it up. Hopefully we can go out there and race to our potential. Pete Grove gives us great equipment and the potential for speed, all we have to do is capitalize.”
