Holtgraver Looks To Round-Up A Win At The ‘Steel City Stampede’

Pittsburgh, PA (10/23/2012) – Danny Holtgraver will help end the 2012 Western Pennsylvania dirt racing season this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, October 25th, 26th, & 27th, at Lernerville Speedway’s annual DIRTcar Round-Up ‘Steel City Stampede.’ The 2010 Lernerville Speedway sprint car track champion will compete at the world famous 4/10’s mile dirt oval in search of his first ‘Steel City Stampede’ victory. The event will end ‘410’ sprint car competition in all of Western Pennsylvania for the 2012 season. Holtgraver has visited Lernerville Speedway victory lane on a number of occasions throughout his young career, and has 3,000 more reasons to make one more appearance this weekend!
“What can I say…it’s Lernerville…we love going there!” explained Danny Holtgraver, “We have been really good there this year…it’s our home track and we have a lot of supporters who come out to watch us race…the weather looks good so hopefully we can get there this weekend and win one more in front of all of our family and friends!”
‘Steel City Stampede’ action at Lernerville Speedway will kick-off Thursday evening, October 25th, with an open practice for all nine divisions that are a part of the weekend program. All preliminary competition, including heat race action, will take shape on Friday evening, October 26th, at the Sarver oval. The Kargo Quality Cars and Trucks/Alternative Power Sources/Westview Motors/FullyInjected.com ‘D4’ team will then return to the Sarver oval on Saturday afternoon, October 27th, for feature action. The ‘410’ sprint cars will race for a $3,000 pay day; along with the super late models and big block modifieds. Danny Holtgraver Motorsports should have plenty of momentum entering this weekend’s season-ending spectacle; as the team not only picked up a weekly show victory this season at the oval, but also an All-Star Circuit of Champions victory over Labor Day weekend.
“We have been good at Lernerville this year” said Holtgraver, “We have learned a lot about the place over the past few seasons…hopefully we can put all of that to good use this weekend.”
The three-time All-Star Circuit of Champions winner in 2012 will then end his 2012 season completely next Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at The Dirt Track at Charlotte near Concord, North Carolina. The annual Peak Motor Oil World Finals, sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, will wrap up the racing season for Danny Holtgraver for a third consecutive year.
