Pittsburgh, PA – 9/3/12 – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native and All-Star Circuit of Champions ‘Ohio Region’ traveler, Danny Holtgraver, nearly swept All-Star action over Labor Day weekend by winning two out of the three scheduled events. The Kargo Quality Cars and Trucks/Alternative Power Sources ‘D4’ team raced at three different area ovals during Labor Day weekend; winning the $5,000-to-win main events on Friday and Sunday, and finishing second during feature action on Saturday. Holtgraver now has three wins during All-Star Circuit of Champions competition in 2012, and has plenty of opportunities to increase that statistic before the current season comes to a close. Perhaps the most impressive performance of the weekend came during action on Sunday evening, September 2nd; where the former Lernerville Speedway track champion rallied from a 16th place starting spot to win the All-Star Circuit of Champions main event at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio.

“Wow…I actually I have no idea what just happened” said Holtgraver after his dominating performance at Wayne County Speedway on Sunday evening, “I could just put the car where ever I wanted and It was just so fun to drive…I couldn’t have done it without everybody who is involved…just a great feeling.”

Holtgraver started his All-Star Circuit of Champions ‘Labor Day Swing’ on Friday evening, August 31st, at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania; where the familiar ‘D4’ team, lead by crew chief Brian Kemenah, drove to victory from the outside of row number 2. The win was Holtgraver’s second All-Star victory of the season, and of his career; dominating the 30 lap, $5,000-to-win main event over Tim Shaffer and Cap Henry. The victory on Friday evening was actually Holtgraver’s second consecutive win at the Sarver oval. The familiar ‘D4’ operation grabbed a victory during ‘Fab Four’ action back on August 24th.

On Saturday night, September 1st, Holtgraver and the entire Kargo Quality Cars and Trucks/Alternative Power Sources ‘D4’ team made the trip west to Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio for another round of All-Star Circuit of Champions – Labor Day weekend action. Holtgraver would finish second on Saturday night during the 40 lap, $5,000-to-win, All-Star main event; nearly passing main event winner, Phil Gressman, at the checkers. The former Attica Raceway Park All-Star main event winner had to earn a starting spot in the Saturday night feature lineup the hard way; as the ‘D4’ team failed to transfer through their respective heat race. Holtgraver would transfer through the evening’s B-main, and rally to a 2nd place finish after starting 11th in the feature running order.

Danny Holtgraver would end his Labor Day weekend tour with the All-Star Circuit of Champions back on top and in victory lane. The Brian Kemenah lead ‘D4’ program put on a clinic Sunday evening, September 2nd, during All-Star Circuit of Champions competition at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio; cruising from a 16th starting spot to earn the $5,000-to-win main event victory, and the hard charger award. Holtgraver would take the top spot away from Byron Reed just beyond the half-way point and never look back; holding off the Ohio legend, and national rising star David Gravel, to win his second All-Star win of the weekend, and third of his young career. The 15 position advancement during the 30 lap feature contest was more than enough to solidify not only the win, but also the hard charger award.

“The weekend was just incredible!” said Holtgraver, “Just to be out here with this type of competition and be able to compete, and stay out front, and win races is just an incredible feeling…I just need to thank everybody who is involved…they know who they are and I could not have done any of this without them…just a ‘wow’ feeling right now!”

Two full nights of All-Star Circuit of Champions action will take place at the Juniata County Fairgrounds half-mile oval next Friday and Saturday; guaranteeing not only a healthy and talented roster of All-Star Circuit of Champions competitors, but also a large field of the ever-s0-tough ‘Pennsylvania Posse.’ Friday night’s preliminary All-Star event will pay $5,000 to the winner, with Saturday night’s 50 lap, Tuscarora 50 finale paying $10,000 to the winner!
