Danny Holtgraver of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania left Florida with a bang earlier tonight; qualifying inside the top five during time trials and eventually earning his first top three finish of the season! The Fully Injected teammate finished third this evening at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida with the All-Star Circuit of Champions – securing two consecutive top 10 finishes with the series and allowing himself to have a positive kick-start on the 2012 season.
Holtgraver was this evening’s fourth fastest car in qualifying time trials. The Kargo Quality Cars and Trucks ‘D4’ went on to finish sixth in his respective heat race – allowing for an automatic transfer to the $7,000 to win main event. The former Lernerville Speedway Track Champion battled for the lead for much of the feature event, before surrendering the top spot to eventual winner, Danny Lasoski. Holtgraver held on for third – just behind Aaron Ott and Lasoski. Greg Hodnett and Fred Rahmer rounded out the top five. David Gravel was this evening’s fastest qualifier.
Fully Injected’s very own Brandon Matus also had a productive evening- winning the consolation B-main and earning a spot in the evening’s $7,000 to win, All-Star main event. The Wampum, Pennsylvania native finished 19th – securing three consecutive All-Star main event starts!
