“We weren’t sure of a game plan heading into the week but it looks like we are heading to central PA” said Holtgraver, “Racing in central Pennsylvania is extremely tough…mix that in with the World of Outlaws and it makes it even tougher…we are excited to be a part of it…the atmosphere and the fans are great; really supportive…Tom and Sherry Leidig gave me a great opportunity this year and I am thrilled to be a part of this team…we learn every time we are on the track…Bonzai Bruns and I are always communicating and digging up ways to make the ‘59’ car faster…we’ll keep digging this weekend and work to get up front.”

The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will first invade the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania on Wednesday evening, May 13th for the ‘Gettysburg Clash.’ The national touring group will get a day off on Thursday evening before returning to competition on Friday and Saturday, May 15th & 16th at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

Danny Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing recently joined the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio for the ‘Mother of All Sprint Car Weekends.’ The World of Outlaws joined the USAC National Sprint Cars at ‘The Big E’ on Friday and Saturday, May 8th & 9th for two complete nights of racing action. Holtgraver highlighted the weekend with a 17th place finish on Saturday evening, May 9th.

“It was a tough weekend for us” explained Holtgraver, “We didn’t time well each night and that really put us behind…we didn’t make the show on Friday but recovered on Saturday…we’ll put that weekend behind us and move forward.”
