BUTLER, Pa. (October 14, 2024) – It’s been a busy 2024 campaign for Butler, Pennsylvania’s Cullen Hutchison, and although much of his recent focus has been placed on micro sprint competition with Sam Johnson Racing, it was time to return to the non-wing ranks, resuming his RUSH Sprint Car Series agenda with car owner Joe Lockhart in Lernerville Speedway’s annual Steel City Stampede on October 10-12.
Hutchison, backed by Lockhart Raceway in his RUSH non-wing venture, finished eighth in Lernerville’s season-ending program, and despite his experience in the non-wing seat short and limited, the respectable result was nothing shy of new, ultimately adding another mark in the top-ten column that already includes RUSH top-tens at Tri-City Raceway Park in Franklin, Pennsylvania.
“That was a lot of fun, and I can’t thank Joe Larkhart and Lockhart Raceway enough for the opportunity to hop back in a RUSH car,” Hutchison was quick to note. “Some mistakes were made, but that’s going to happen, just a big part of the learning process. We have another big weekend ahead at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma, so we’ll switch gears and get ready for that right away.”
ON DECK:
Cullen Hutchison will continue his 2024 season with a visit to Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the KKM Giveback Classic on Wednesday through Saturday, October 16-19.
