BUTLER, Pa. (November 1, 2023) – Butler, Pennsylvania’s Cullen Hutchison put it all together in his two-day stay at Millbridge Speedway in Salisbury, North Carolina, not only concluding the highly-anticipated Top Gun Invitational with back-to-back top-ten outcomes, but eventually highlighting the program with a podium run in the Tuesday night finale.
Hutchison, pilot of the Bell Kemenah Racing (BKR), Classic Ink USA, E2 Apparel, Open Joist, No. 21 600cc winged micro, finished second in his podium pursuit, bettering one position after starting from the inside of row two. The Tuesday night result, padded by a runner-up finish during heat race competition, was the best of Hutchison’s young, but already successful A-Class 600cc career.
As noted, Hutchison, a four-time restricted class winner at North Carolina’s premier dirt track facility, concluded the Top Gun Invitational with double top-tens, opening the week with a sixth-place finish on Monday, October 30.
Although relatively new to the A-Class ranks, and now solidifying his first-ever runner-up result, Hutchison’s recent performances leading into the Top Gun Invitational were nothing short of stellar. In fact, the Western Pennsylvania youngster recorded a pair of third-place scores prior to the Halloween doubleheader, winning a beginner Bandolero program at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the process. Hutchison will now aim ahead and plan for three A-Class starts in mid-November, all of which in the Tar Heel State.
ON DECK:
Cullen Hutchison and Bell Kemenah Racing will continue their 2023 campaign with another multi-race sweep through the Tar Heel State, this time setting aim on two nights at Rockfish Speedway in Raeford, North Carolina, on Friday and Saturday, November 17-18, followed by a one-night stop at Mountain Creek Speedway in Catawba, North Carolina, on Sunday, November 19. Rockfish’s Winter Classic will award $1,000-to-win on each night.
