BUTLER, Pa. (December 17, 2023) – It was an evening to remember for 11-year-old Cullen Hutchison and BKR, not only attaining back-to-back top-five finishes in a double-feature program at Millbridge Speedway in Salisbury, North Carolina, but ultimately securing a victory in the process; the Butler, Pennsylvania, native’s first-ever 600cc Non-Wing triumph.
Hutchison, ace of the BKR, Classic Ink USA Screenprinting & Embroidery, E2 Apparel, Open Joist, No. 21N Non-Wing micro, earned his eventual triumph from the front row, securing the outside-pole position as the result of a lineup invert following the evening’s first feature.
It was less than ten to go when Hutchison took command, driving off to a two-second advantage by the time the final checkers flew.
As hinted, Hutchison opened Millbridge’s double with a top-five, rallying big from row nine to finish fifth in 30 circuits. The western Pennsylvania youngster was forced to start deep after spinning to a stop during qualifying – he was unable to record a time.
“It was an exciting night for everyone and it feels great to get that first Non-Wing win at Millbridge,” Hutchison explained. “It’s a total team effort, and I wouldn’t be in this position without Brian Kemenah and everyone else at BKR. We have a lot to look forward to in our upcoming trip to Tulsa. Having a win right before the Shootout gives us the confidence we need to be successful.”
The end of the year is approaching quickly, but the work is far from over, as Cullen Hutchison and BKR are set to travel West and compete with the world’s finest in the prestigious Tulsa Shootout in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on December 27-31. The world’s largest micro sprint event boasts an incredible entry list breaching 1,000 drivers, most of whom entering multiple divisions including Restricted, Winged A-Class, and Stock Non-Wing; Hutchison will compete in all three.
The annual Tulsa Shootout will begin officially with practice on Wednesday, December 27.

Cullen Hutchison and BKR will continue their 2023 campaign with the 39th annual Tulsa Shootout at Tulsa Expo Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Tuesday through Sunday, December 27-31. Hutchison will compete in three divisions; Restricted, Winged A-Class, and Stock Non-Wing.
