BUTLER, Pa. (August 13, 2024) – Two RUSH Sprint Car starts resulted in two top-ten finishes for Cullen Hutchison and car owner Joe Lockhart, doing so in back-to-back appearances at Tri-City Raceway Park in Franklin, Pennsylvania. The 12-year-old finished eighth in his most recent visit, up from tenth the week prior, commencing the evening’s feature from the inside of row six; there were 14 cars in attendance.
For Hutchison, who graduated to the RUSH non-wing ranks after participating in some of the country’s largest micro sprint events, the transition has been smooth, utilizing his own lap time while learning from others within the class.
“I’m really enjoying myself. It’s been a great experience so far,” Hutchison, driver of the Lockhart Raceway No. 83, expressed. “We’re just taking things week to week…learning as much as I can about the car and how it handles. It’s been great to work with Joe (Lockhart) and I’m grateful for the opportunity. The plan is to go back to Tri-City on Sunday and try again.”
