Ian Madsen and TKS Motorsports persevere at Huset’s Speedway; Knoxville Raceway on deck

MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (June 23, 2025) – TKS Motorsports’ four-day campaign at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, may have started low, but it definitely ended high, rebounding after an early week tumble to highlight competition with an A-Main start on Friday, June 20 – finishing 19th after starting one position better. On the whole, it was a sound evening for the Mitchellville, Iowa-based race team, qualifying 13th in their respective group before finishing third in their respective heat race.

With the coveted Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, less than two months away, TKS Motorsports and driver Ian Madsen will return to their roots during the coming weekend, set to revisit the Sprint Car Capital of the World for some pre-Nationals prep and track time.

“Looking forward to hitting the reset button and trying again. Every week is a new week,” Troy Renfro, owner of the TKS Motorsports, Iowa Barnstormers, Des Moines Industrial Products, Webb Family Farms, Landus, Jersey Freeze Ice Cream, AL Driveline, Justice Brothers, No. 2KS sprint car, said. “Taking things week to week. Our goal is to be in a great position for the Nationals. That’s always been priority number one.”
