Ian Madsen, brother of fellow sprint car hotshoe Kerry Madsen, picked up his second career World Series Sprintcars victory last night during Round no. 2 of the WSS tour at Morris Park Speedway in Dubbo, Australia. Dylan Jenkin finished 2nd, with former ASCS National Champion, Jason Johnson, rounding out the top three.
The 30 lap feature contest was finished in just under 10 minutes; with Ian Madsen also setting the fastest lap time of the night during feature competition. Madsen spent most of his 2011 summer in the United States driving for the injured Bill Rose. Rose was a regular on the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and chose Madsen to fill in for him while he recovered from shoulder surgery.
Former multi-time World Series Sprintcars Champion, Brooke Tatnell, was on the move to the front of last night’s WSS A-main before mechanical problems forced the Krikke Motorsports pilot to theĀ infield.
The premiere Australian sprint car series will be back in action next Saturday evening, December 10th, with a trip to Timmis Speedway in Mildura, Australia.
