The best in the USAC National Sprint Series wingless ranks, along with the stars and cars of Indiana weekly wingless action, will kick off the annual USAC sanctioned Indiana Sprint Week tonight at Gas-City I-69 Speedway in Gas City, Indiana. Indiana Sprint Week offers some of the best wingless open wheel action in the country and drivers will have to survive 7 events in a 9 day period if they want to be crowned Indiana Sprint Week Champion. Last year, it was Jon Stanbrough taking the sprint week crown. USAC Indiana Sprint Week action will kick off with a triple header this weekend at Gas-City, Kokomo, and Lawrenceburg- all before taking a two day break. Indiana Sprint Week then gets back to action on July 13th at Terre Haute, Indiana- which will start a 4 consecutive raceday stretch that will end sprint week. After Terre Haute, the wingless travelers will head to Brownstown Speedway, Bloomington Speedway, and Ti-State Speedway to end the annual highlighted thrill week.
The USAC National Sprint Cars recently visited Pennsylvania and New Jersey on their annual “Eastern Storm” tour.
