Ocala, FL (2/9/2013) – Jack Sodeman Jr. of North Jackson, Ohio kicked-off his 2013 racing season in a big way on Saturday evening, February 9th; earning a UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions main event starting position during the annual ‘Bubba Army Winternationals’ at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida. Sodeman would finish inside the top 20 during the 30-lap main event on Saturday evening; advancing two positions after starting the A-main from the outside of row number eleven.
Saturday night’s UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions’ $7,000-to-win program was the finale of a tw0-day appearance for the series at Bubba Raceway Park. The Rudzik Excavating/Economy Tooling/Glassmere Fuel Services/PRS Transit/Townsend Gas & Oil/NRP Contractors/Treviscraft no. 94 team, piloted by Sodeman, did not qualify for Friday night’s All-Star main event at Bubba Raceway Park. Donny Schatz, defending World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series champion, swept the tw0-day event.
“It was a great experience and we learned a lot this weekend” expressed Sodeman, “We totally missed it on Friday night, but we made some changes and things went a little better for us on Saturday night…it was a great weekend and we had a lot of fun…I can’t thank everyone who is involved enough…can’t wait to get back out there and do it again!”
Although Jack Sodeman Jr.’s weekend at Bubba Raceway Park started with a failed attempt to make the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions A-main on Friday evening, February 8th; the Rudzik Racing ’94’ operation would rebound, and put themselves in the ‘big dance’ on Saturday night for a shot at the $7,000 top prize. Sodeman qualified 24th-quick out of the 32, top-notch, All Star entrees on Saturday night; planting the Rudzik Racing no. 94 just inside the heat race inversion, and on the pole position of an UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions heat race. The Ohio native, and former Sharon Speedway ‘410’ sprint car track champion, would hold on for a podium finish, and cross the start/finish line third in his respective heat race. The recently named ‘All Star’ traveler would start 22nd in the 30-lap, $7,000-to-win main event; and finish 20th.
