Jared Miley All Set for Mega-Memorial Day Weekend, Earns Second Win of Season at Lernerville

PITTSBURGH (May 26, 2016) – “The Jet” Jared Miley will spend Memorial Day weekend at full speed, set to tackle three consecutive nights of super late model competition at three different Pennsylvania ovals.
Miley, pilot of the Jared Miley Racing, Jay’s Auto Wrecking, Sprague Farm & Brew Works, Keystone Alliance Insurance Services,LLC of Spring City, Maloney’s Classic Cars of Meadville, Junior’s Cores & Recycling, Colussy Chevrolet, No. H1, will visit Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway, Hesston Speedway, and Dog Hollow Speedway during the holiday weekend, racing for a combined total of $11,000. Miley’s Memorial Day weekend will ignite officially on Friday evening, May 27, at the Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway in Bedford, Pennsylvania.
“We have a lot going on this weekend, but we are excited for it,” explained Jared Miley. “The weather hasn’t allowed for much this year, so hopefully things stay clear all weekend and we can get three races in. I can’t thank my team, sponsors, and supporters enough for their effort. Their help allows us to race at our maximum potential. We’ll work as hard as we can to win all three this weekend. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
The Bedford Fairgrounds half-mile will host the Johnny Grum Tribute on Friday night, awarding a $4,000 top prize after 40 laps of feature competition. It will be Miley’s first visit to the Bedford County facility in 2016.
Miley’s Memorial Day weekend triple-header will continue on Saturday evening, May 28, at the Hesston Speedway in Hesston, Pennsylvania. The Hesston Memorial will be the headline attraction, awarding a $3,000 winner’s share.
The holiday weekend swing will conclude on Sunday night, May 29, at the Dog Hollow Speedway near Strongstown, Pennsylvania. The UFO Championship super late models will invade the Indiana-area venue, gathering for the Shawn Sheetz McGarvey Championship worth $4,000. Jared Miley is a former winner at Dog Hollow Speedway, earning three main event victories in 2015 during super and crate late model action.
If weather becomes a factor in areas of Pennsylvania, other race options will be chosen, including a trip south to the Tyler County Speedway near Middlebourne, West Virginia, for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series Jackpot 100.
Jared Miley will enter Memorial Day weekend with a recent victory to his credit. The Pittsburgh native earned a victory at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania, on Friday night, May 20. It was his second super late model win of 2016 and his first of the year at Lernerville.
