Jared Miley still has a touch of ground to make up if he wants to claim the 2011 Super Late Model ‘UFO Race Championship.’ The Fully Injected rep currently sits second in the UFO standings entering this weekend’s event at Roaring Knob; and only has two points races remaining on the schedule to close in on the leader, Devin Friese. This weekend’s double header at Roaring Knob, and the traditional season ending ‘Ultimate’ at Hesston, are the only two events left on the 2011 UFO schedule.
Including Friese and Miley, there are seven drivers, total, who have perfect attendance with the series this year; including Keith Barbara, Chad McClellan, and Quintin Wyandt, who round out the top 5 in the standings.
Miley is actually no stranger to victory lane at Roaring Knob in 2011. The Forcey Coal, Rocket, H1 pilot, found victory lane at the southwest Pennsylvania facility back in early September with the UFO and Three State Flyers Series; claiming the ‘King of the Knob’ title and a $5,000 pay day . He was also a winner back on July 2nd at the Tyler County Speedway for the ‘Earl Hill Shootout.’
