The U. S. Steel Dirt Track World Championship, presented by Sunoco, will take place at K-C Raceway, in Chillicothe Ohio, this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, October 13th-15th. The three day event will not only crown the 2011 Dirt Track World Champion, but also the 2011 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Champion. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctions this three day event, which also stands as the last competition on their schedule; leaving a championship to be decided. The monster marquee event pays $50,000 to the winner- with Earl Pearson Jr. being the defending champion. Fully Injected’s very own, Jared Miley, will be traveling west to grab a piece of the World Championship action.
Jared Miley has had year long success in 2011; and hopes to use that momentum, a long with a mixture of confidence and support, to help put his H1 Rocket in the starting field of Saturday night’s World Championship 100 lap finale.
Miley’s most recent accomplishments include finishing 2nd in last Friday night’s UFO ‘Roar’ opener at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex. He did not compete in the Saturday night finale.
In case Jared should not make the $50,000 to win, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series A-main starting lineup- ‘The Dirt Track World Championship’ is offering a 30 lap, $3,000 to win, ‘Non-Qualifiers’ feature; to award drivers who do not make the desired 100 lap starting field.
Late model competition will take place on Friday and Saturday; while open wheel modified competition will kick things off at KC on Thursday.
