After a hard ending to a prestigious first weekend of crate late model competition – Ringgold, Pennsylvania native, Joe Martin, looks to reverse his luck, and drive his Martin Farms ’55’ into victory lane this weekend at Sharon Speedway.
Martin entered the FASTRAK Northeast sanctioned, $3,000-to-win, ‘Super Nationals I’ last weekend at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania with hopes of starting his 2012 schedule on a positive note. A heat race victory during preliminary action would help start the weekend on a high note, but a main event accident on the last lap would stop all momentum in it’s tracks. His weekend would end on a hook.
This Saturday evening, April 7th, Martin and the JM2 Motorsports program has plans to venture north to Sharon Speedway near Hartford, Ohio forĀ it’s opening night of competition. FASTRAK late model action is a weekly feature at the facility, and Martin has plans to be a part of it when his schedule permits. Hopefully, the JM2 Motorsports team can regain some momentum and get the season heading in the right direction. The DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds will also be on the evening card; along with all of Sharon’s weekly divisions!
Gates for the “Steel Valley Thunder” kickoff event will open at 4pm- with grandstands opening at 5pm – and racing at 7pm!
Stay Tuned!
