Both Tracks Open 2013 Season This Weekend

Ringgold, PA (April 30th, 2013) – After successfully earning two (2) top five finishes at two different racetracks on Saturday, April 26th, Joe Martin, and the entire Joe Martin Motorsports (JM2 Motorsports) operation, will take some time to regroup before beginning to prepare for their upcoming weekend schedule. Martin, who pilots the JM2 Motorsports, Extreme Plastics Plus, Allegheny Crane Rental, George Washington Hotel, Spartan Thru Tubing, no. 55 crate late model, will spend this Friday and Saturday, May 3rd & 4th, racing at two Indiana County, Pennsylvania ovals; both of which host weekly FASTRAK crate late model competition. JM2 Motorsports will make a stop at the Dog Hollow Speedway in Strongstown, Pennsylvania on Friday evening, May 3rd; before rolling into Marion Center Speedway in Marion Center, Pennsylvania on Saturday, May 4th. Interestingly enough, both facilities will be celebrating their season openers this weekend.

Dog Hollow Speedway in Strongstown, Pennsylvania will be the first stop on the weekend schedule for Joe Martin and the JM2 Motorsports gang. The track will open it’s doors to competitors for the first time in 2013 this Friday night; welcoming another season of FASTRAK crate late model competition. Joe Martin is a former crate late model winner at the Strongstown oval; and finished fourth (4th) in the final 2012 Dog Hollow Speedway FASTRAK standings. A win this Friday night at ‘The Pooch’ would give Martin his first victory of the 2013 season. The Ringgold, Pennsylvania native will enter the upcoming weekend with five (5) top five finishes in six (6) starts.

On Saturday evening, May 4th, Joe Martin will visit the Marion Center Speedway in Marion Center, Pennsylvania. The quarter-mile bullring, which is notorious for it’s ultra-smooth racing surface, will open it’s door to competition for the first time in 2013 this Saturday evening; welcoming all of it’s weekly divisions including the newly added FASTRAK crate late models. Joe Martin spent a lot of time at the facility as a child, and is anxious to have the opportunity to race weekly ‘on the hill’ in 2013. The FASTRAK crate late models will co-headline weekly competition at Marion Center Speedway; joining the ever-popular, super late models.

Recent results for Joe Martin and JM2 Motorsports include two (2) top five finishes at two (2) different racing facilities last Saturday, April 26th. Martin piloted his Ingram powered Wylie Race Car to a runner-up finish at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon; during the $1,000-to-win, RUSH crate late model ‘Spring Sizzler.’ The JM2 Motorsports ‘55’ would then return to the top five later that evening at the Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio. Martin would finish fourth (4th) during RUSH ‘weekly’ competition at the Sharon oval. Pittsburgh’s 2:00PM start on Saturday, April 26th allowed for the ‘double’ to take shape.
