Ringgold, PA (10/1/2012) – Ringgold, Pennsylvania native and Western Pennsylvania FASTRAK crate late model all-star, Joe Martin, is ready to head south into the heart of West Virginia this weekend for a shot at a ‘World Championship’ title, and $20,000. The FASTRAK ‘World Championships’ are set to take place this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, October 4th through the 6th, at Beckley Motorsports Park in Prosperity, West Virginia; offering a $20,000-to-win pay day for the champion, and a year’s worth of bragging rights. Action at Beckley Motorsports Park for the FASTRAK ‘World Championships’ will kick-off Thursday evening, October 4th, with two hours worth of practice for all drivers and teams. A ‘Friday Night Fights’ preliminary program for the FASTRAK crate late models will take place on Friday evening, October 5th; which will feature 8 respective heat races for the crate late models, and twin ‘topless’ 40 lap features. The ‘World Championship’ televised finale will take shape on Saturday night, October 6th; featuring not only the 75 lap, $20,000-to-win ‘World Championship’ feature, but also a 50 lap ‘World Challenge’ event worth $5,000 to the winner. Perhaps Joe Martin’s first trip to Beckley Motorsports Park could value at over $20,000.
The Joe Martin Motorsports (JM2 Motorsports) team has been on a recent hot streak in FASTRAK competition. Martin picked up a recent victory at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania during the annual ‘Big Kahuna Weekend’ on Friday and Saturday, September 28th & 29th. The FASTRAK Northeast Touring Series victory at Roaring Knob was Martin’s fifth victory of the 2012 season, and valued at $2,000.
