Junction Motor Speedway Hosts World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars on Aug. 12
Inside Line Promotions – McCOOL JUNCTION, Neb. – Junction Motor Speedway is a diamond in the rough.
Located in the middle of cornfields in Central Nebraska, the picturesque track will host the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series for the third straight season and fourth time overall on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
“It’s a really nice track,” Paul McMahan said. “It’s a nice facility and race track. Everything about it is really nice.”
McMahan scored his first career top 10 at the 3/8-mile oval last year when 20-time series champion Steve Kinser became the third different winner in as many World of Outlaws races there.
“It can be a really good race track,” McMahan said. “It’s out in the middle of nowhere so the wind blows 40 miles per hour and it’s usually pretty hot so you never know what you are going to get.”
Prior to Kinser’s triumph, Donny Schatz was victorious in 2012 and Brooke Tatnell claimed the inaugural event in 2010.
