VINCENTOWN, N.J. (October 28, 2024) – Justin Whittall and Stehman Motorsports made waves, in a good way, in their Saturday visit to BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven, Pennsylvania, not only concluding the $10,000-to-win Kevin Gobrecht Classic with a top-five appearance, but doing so in incredible fashion, commencing action from the outside of row nine.
Whittall, ace of John and Kelly Stehman’s No. 23 and winner of two main events in 2024 aboard his family-owned No. 67, finished fifth in Saturday’s tribute to Kevin Gobrecht – the team’s top result of the season with Whittall behind the wheel. In addition, their 13-spot rally also secured the afternoon’s hard charger award for advancing the most feature positions.
Whittall was battling for a top-five by lap 24 of 30.
“We were good…just a great effort by everyone and I’m so grateful for the opportunity,” Whittall explained. “Can’t thank John and Kelly Stehman enough for the chance to drive again Saturday. We knew we were going to have our hands full with having to start that far back in the field, but it worked out really well. I had a great car and I’m excited for our results. Not too sure of the plan yet for the rest of the year, but we’ll have something mapped out soon.”
