VINCENTOWN, N.J. (April 29, 2019) – After a frustrating weekend at the Port Royal ‘Speed Palace’ that included a hard tumble during warm-ups, Vincentown, New Jersey’s Justin Whittall bounced back and earned himself a main event starting position during Open Wheel Madness competition on Saturday evening, April 27.
With heat race passing points utilized to set the evening’s feature grid, Whittall logged enough points to allow a seventh row starting position, ultimately hanging on to finish 20th against a stout field of local and regional competitors.
“We needed that one,” Justin Whittall explained, driver of the JW Motorsports/Atlantic Utility Trailer/Brotherton Brewing Company/Pioneer Auto Body/Worldwide Bearings/No. 67 sprint car. “We were having a pretty tough time the last few weeks, but it only takes one positive night to turn things around. I think we were better than 20th, but we’ll take this and run with it. Hopefully we can build some momentum from this and work our way back toward another top-ten.”
Justin Whittall will return to the Port Royal ‘Speed Palace’ on Saturday evening, May 4.
