Justin Whittall is ready for National Open weekend

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

VINCENTOWN, N.J. (September 26, 2018) – After an uneventful few weeks for JW Motorsports, Vincentown, New Jersey’s Justin Whittall is champing at the bit to get back to work, ready to tackle back-to-back nights of World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series competition at Williams Grove Speedway.

Whittall, who molded much of his 2018 schedule around 360 sprint car competition before making the recent switch to 410 action full-time, will join the Greatest Show On Dirt during the 56th running of the National Open. The two-day blockbuster will award a total winner’s share equaling $66,000; $10,000 on Friday and $56,000 on Saturday. In addition, the National Open format will feature a 27-lap main event during the Friday portion of the program which will honor the late, great Greg Hodnett.

Despite the high level of competition expected at The Grove on Friday and Saturday, Justin Whittall is ready for the challenge. Lap time is critical for improvement in sprint car racing, especially in Central Pennsylvania.

“What better time to learn,” Justin Whittall said, driver of the JW Motorsports/Atlantic Utility Trailer/Brotherton Brewing Company/Pioneer Auto Body/Worldwide Bearings/No. 67 sprint car. “We understand what we are up against, but the National Open is one of the most prestigious sprint car races in the world. Just to be a part of that atmosphere will be very special, no matter the outcome. I’m excited to share the track with the best in the world. Hopefully we can learn from (World of Outlaws) and become a better team.”

Although a weather-plagued season, Whittall did manage to put together a handful of solid finishes during his 2018 schedule which includes a pair of top-five finishes, one of which at Port Royal’s ‘Speed Palace’ during 410c.i. competition. Whittall opened the year with a top-five finish during United Racing Club (URC) 360 action at Carolina Speedway.

“It’s hard to believe it is almost October,” Whittall continued. “It feels like we are just getting started.”
