Adam ‘Bomb’ Now Owns Four Career Sprint Victories

Hermitage, PA (June 10th, 2014) – After picking up his first ‘410’ sprint car victory of 2014 last Saturday evening, June 7th at Mercer Raceway Park; Hermitage, Pennsylvania’s Adam Kekich will look ahead, and attempt to use his recent momentum boost to make it two-in-a-row this Saturday evening at Mercer during the speedway’s ‘Auto Racers for Kids’ charity program. Kekich, who pilots the Kekich Racing, Sunburst Environmental, Tight Seal Glass Block, Hermitage Agway, Sniezek Cabinets, Designing Women Hair Styling, Warren Harley Davidson, no. 5K ‘410’ sprint car, admits to having a ‘really rough start’ to his current campaign, but will move into the upcoming weekend with his head held higher than ever.

“We had a really tough start to this season” said Adam Kekich, “We had a pretty bad mixture of bad luck and mechanical problems…we struggled getting our car to work; especially on slick race tracks…unfortunately, having a bad streak like that makes it tough for the team, and tough for me mentally…fortunately enough I have a team that doesn’t quit and never gives up…we kept pluggin’ away in the shop going over things and finally we found where we needed to be…I just want to thank my team for not giving up on me..I really need to thank my Mom and Dad for sticking behind me as well; and allowing me to keep doing what I love to do…hopefully we can keep it rolling this weekend with big money on the line!”

Kekich earned his first ‘410’ sprint car victory of 2014 during ‘Saturday Night Live!’ weekly competition at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The third generation sprint car driver, who now owns four-career sprint car victories, went wire-to-wire during main event action at the Mercer bullring on June 7th; holding off fellow western Pennsylvania youngster, Brandon Matus, and former Mercer Raceway Park track champion, Eric Williams, for the victory. Adam Kekich now has three-career ‘410’ sprint car victories at the Mercer oval. The 21-year-old also owns one ‘305’ sprint car victory at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania.

“The car was on a rail on Saturday!” explained Adam Kekich, “We took off on lap one and never looked back…I just can’t thank everyone enough for all of their hard work…this whole team; my Mom, Dad; everyone…they stood behind me the entire time…i’m glad to get that first win of the season…takes a lot of pressure off of us…gives us the momentum boost that we need heading into this weekend’s Auto Racers for Kids race!”

Action resumes for Adam Kekich and Kekich Racing this Saturday evening, June 14th at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The ‘Auto Racers for Kids’ charity event sponsored by Bonnell’s Rod Shop is the featured program on the Saturday night schedule; complete with a $3,000-to-win main event for the ‘410’ sprint cars. A win on Saturday night would not only allow Kekich to go two-for-two in as many weeks, but it would also allow the Hermitage native to earn a career-high pay day.

“We are pretty excited about this weekend…it’s a big event for a great cause” said Adam Kekich, “We’ve been working really hard…we have the ability to win big races and stay towards the front…I’m just really thankful for the opportunity race each and every weekend!”
