PITTSBURGH, PA — The Seventh Annual Red Miley Rumble is just a few short days away and the excitement surrounding the event continues to grow. The Winged Super Sprints will make their first appearance of 2013 as they tackle the high banks of “Dirt’s Monster Half Mile” in a 20-lap main event paying $2,053.00 to the victor. Rumble
The “Red Miley Rumble” is a tribute to former PPMS and Motordrome track owner Red Miley. Red was the leader of Miley Motor Sports until his passing. Red was born in 1953, and was 53 years old when he passed on May 3, 2007. The number “53” is significant throughout the event as indicated by the number of laps of the Super Late Model main event. In addition, position sponsorships in the amount of $53.00 have been purchased by local businesses, race fans and other marketing partners, further adding to the overall payout for both the Super Late Models and the Winged Super Sprints.

“We are looking forward to another action packed event showcasing both the Super Late Models and the Super Sprints,” commented Speedway Owner Matt Miley. “This event is designed to provide the racers in both divisions with additional money through the position sponsorships rather than just rewarding the leader of each lap. All of the drivers and their crews work hard on race day and throughout the week and we hope they appreciate the funds provided by our marketing partners.”

At press time over $4,000.00 has been added to the Super Late Model payoff by the positions sponsors. Imperial Tire and Automotive has also stepped forward and will award the Super Late Model driver who sets the evening’s quick time with a $100.00 Fast Time Award. Additional position sponsors will be taken right up until race time. Anyone interested in this affordable marketing opportunity which will further increase the payout should contact Matt Miley at mmiley99@comcast.net or (412) 736-3142.
