Kevin Schaeffer Earns 2012 Lernerville Speedway Track Championship!
Kittanning, PA – 8/25/12 – Kittanning, Pennsylvania native Kevin Schaeffer ended his sprint car racing career last night, August 24th, in a manner that is higher than the rest; clinching a sixth career track championship. The Western Pennsylvania ‘410’ sprint car veteran locked-up the 2012 Lernerville Speedway track championship last night with a runner-up finish in the 25 lap ‘Fab Four’ main event; finishing just behind fellow former Lernerville Speedway track champion, Danny Holtgraver. Schaeffer started on the third row of last night’s ‘Fab Four’ finale feature and charged to a second place finish; capping off a very consistent season at the Sarver, PA 4/10’s mile oval. Schaeffer’s streak of top five finishes at Lernerville Speedway also continued last night with his podium finish. The familiar Schaeffer Tire/Team Fully Injected no. 9 has only finished outside of the top five once this season at Lernerville Speedway during ‘Fab Four’ competition; that being a sixth place finish.
Kevin Schaeffer has a total of six track championships to his credit, with four being from Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. Schaeffer has also earned a Sharon Speedway track championship, as well as a Challenger Raceway track championship; both in ‘410’ sprint car competition.
