Schaeffer looks to get two in a row this weekend at Lernerville Speedway – Stivason Photo
Kittanning, Pennsylvania’s Kevin Schaeffer will look to keep his perfect season alive this Friday night, as the ‘opening night’ winner at Lernerville Speedway will look to win his second in a row this weekend at the Sarver oval. Schaeffer, who recently announced that this would be his last year in ‘410’ sprint car competition, earned the 25 lap sprint car victory last Friday night over a stout Western Pennsylvania lineup – which included Danny Holtgraver, Jack Sodeman Jr., Brandon Matus, and Rod George. The three time Lernerville Speedway Track Champion could not have started his last season behind the wheel of a sprint car in a better position; as he is currently undefeated, and tied for the top spot in the Lernerville Speedway track championship standings. Danny Holtgraver and Kevin Schaeffer each have 38 points after one week of action.
“We are pretty excited” quoted Schaeffer about the victory, “The track was really slow but we found a way to go fast…Kriner builds a great motor and our Eagle car worked perfect…hopefully we can do it again next week!”
The familiar yellow no. 9 will be back at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania next Friday night, April 27th, for another night of ‘Fab Four’ racing action. The Schaeffer Motorsports program plans to keep Lernerville Speedway as the only stop on the weekly schedule for the next few weekends.
