Firecracker 100 is in the rearview, so it’s back to Fab Four Racing!

Diehl Mods head three-wide into second half of season
Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup Twin 30s less than two weeks away

Sarver, PA (July 6, 2012) The Action Track is still smoking after last weekend’s 6th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com won by “Black Sunshine” Scott Bloomquist.  The 30-lap, $6,000-to-win World of Outlaws Late Model Series preliminary A-Mains were both barnburners with Bloomquist passing Mike Marlar late in Thursday’s race and Dan Stone holding off a late and furious charge by Bloomquist to score the win Friday Night.

Budweiser Points leader and four-time feature winner so far this season Jared Miley scored the best and most impressive finish of any local in the brief, but dynamic six year history of Dirt Late Model racing’s newest Crown Jewel.  Miley had a provisional in his back pocket, but raced his way into the 100-lapper through the Last Chance Showdown, which slotted him 23rd on the starting grid.  He not only endured all 100 laps, he picked up the Hard Charger Award by racing his way into the top ten, scoring an impressive eighth place finish and a $2,500 payday.

John Garvin Jr. used a track provisional to start the Firecracker 100 A-Main and scored a 19th place finish.  Gregg Satterlee won the same Last Chance Showdown that Miley transferred out of, but retired after 62 laps in 21st place.  Other local & regional drivers that earned their way into the big show include Outlaw regular Chub Frank (11th), Dan Stone (16th), Bump Hedman (22nd), Back-to-Back Track Champion Dave Hess Jr. (24th), Ron Davies (26th) and Mike Pegher Jr. (27th) in the Lynn Geisler-owned #1 Cochran Late Model by Lernerville/Budweiser Points Track provisional.

The Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Models will be back for more action this Friday, July 6 along with the rest of the Fab Four Racing divisions on Youth Sports Night.  All youth sports participants, regardless of age, will be admitted FREE of charge in uniform until 7:00 and it’s also Dollar Dog Night so hot dogs will be on sale all night long for just $1!  As always, gates open at 5:00 and the green flag will drop at 7:30 sharp!

The Diehl Auto Group DIRTcar Northeast Big Block Modifieds roll into Friday Night with a three-wide battle for the Budweiser Points lead as All Time divisions wins leader Brian Swartzlander rode the Mid-Season Championship to the top of the Budweiser Points in a three-way tie with previous leaders Dave Murdick and Kevin Bolland.  Defending Track Champion Jeremiah Shingledecker has battled the gremlins this season, but is still within striking distance to make it a four car race down the stretch.

Jared Miley (Precise Lates) and Corey McPherson (Pic-A-Part Sportsman) won their respective divisions’ Mid-Season Championship and lead the way in Budweiser Points.  In the Ti22 Sprints, Kevin Schaeffer still holds the Budweiser Points lead, while Brian Ellenberger won the Mid-Season Championship two weeks ago.

Next Friday, July 13 is Friday the 13th Night and we’ll make a second attempt to welcome dozens of drivers of the rich, 40+ year history of Don Martin’s Lernerville Speedway for Nostalgia Night; hosted by Rappin’ on Racin’s Don Gamble.  General Admission will be discounted to $13, (hey every buck counts, right?), and if any driver can win from 13th on the grid in any of the Fab Four Racing features or if Brandon Matus or Ryan Moyer win their respective feature, 13 lucky fans will win tickets to an upcoming Fast Friday of Fab Four Racing.

Even as the pulse still pounds from the Firecracker 100, we’re already less than two weeks away from the Action Track’s other Crown Jewel event – this one for the World of Outlaws Sprints – the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup XXI Twin 30s!  The Silver Cup is still the only event that features two World of Outlaws A-Mains in the same night!  Last year’s Twin 30s saw a pair of former track champions – Tim Shaffer and Dale Blaney – sweep the events and Shaffer scored his second career Silver Cup!

Silver Cup tickets are on sale 24/7 at www.Lernerville.com and all advance ticket purchases include a FREE pit pass upgrade so you can see the drivers of “The Greatest Show on Dirt” up close and personal!
