Sarver, PA (November 30, 2012) With the first dark month of the off-season almost behind us, it’s time to start looking forward to the 2013 season and what better way to do so than to purchase tickets to your favorite race(s) of the upcoming season?! Lernerville Speedway race tickets remain the ultimate stocking stuffer for the “hard to buy for” race fan on your shopping list. Whether it’s reserved seats for the Seventh Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com or the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup XXII Twin 30s or the ever popular Pic5/Pic10 Fab Four Racing ticket packages, tickets to the Action Track are always an excellent choice for the avid race fan.
Speaking of the Firecracker 100 and Silver Cup, ticket renewals were recently mailed out and you can now safely mark your calendars for June 27-28-29 for the seventh installment of the newest and fastest growing crown jewel of Dirt Track Late Model racing as rivals Scott Bloomquist and Jimmy Mars will battle to become the first three-time winner of the $30,000-to-win World of Outlaws Late Model Series supershow. Premier and Reserved Camping spots for Firecrackerville are already filling in, so don’t delay if you want to lock in your spot for the biggest race weekend of the summer!
Meanwhile, the 22nd rendition of the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup is scheduled for Tuesday, July 16 and the World of Outlaws will return for the Commonwealth Clash on Saturday, September 21.
2012 seat holders for all three events will have until 11:59PM on Monday, December 31 to renew their seat for the 2013 event and take advantage of the $59 Three-Day Firecracker 100 pass which includes a FREE pit pass upgrade for both Thursday & Friday Nights. December 31 is also the deadline to renew reserved camping spots for $40 for the Firecracker 100 weekend. As of January 1, all non-renewed seats and camping spots will be released to the general public. Tickets can be renewed by calling the speedway office Monday-Thursday from 10:00AM-4:30PM.
Other confirmed dates for the 2013 schedule include the entire array of preseason events starting with the Annual Awards Banquet on Saturday, March 16. In addition to a later date, the banquet venue has also changed. Moving from the Butler Days Inn, the Annual Awards Banquet will be held at the Twin Willow/Comfort Inn & Suites in RIDC Park along Route 28 South this year. To reserve your tickets, please call the speedway office at (724) 353-1511.
Between the Annual Awards Banquet and the drop of the first green flag of the 2013 season, the Lernerville Speedway will once again visit the Clearview Mall and Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills on back-to-back weekends for pre-season car shows. The Clearview Mall car show is scheduled for Thursday through Saturday, March 21-23 and we’ll roll south to the expansive Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills the following weekend Thursday through Saturday, March 28-30.
The conclusion of the DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede – postponed by inclement weather in October and originally rescheduled for Saturday, April 13 – has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 14. To prevent conflicting with the schedules at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway, Sharon Speedway and Mercer Raceway Park, Saturday, April 13 is now scheduled as an open Test & Tune open practice session; drivers do not have to be registered for the Steel City Stampede to participate in the Test & Tune practice session.
The 2013 DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede is scheduled for Thursday-Friday-Saturday, October 24-25-26.
Fab Four Racing Opening Night 2013 is scheduled for Friday, April 19 with Fab Four Racing scheduled for most Friday Nights through Labor Day weekend.

2010 Lernerville Speedway Track Champion Danny Holtgraver has been hired by Pete Grove to drive the #45 on the All Star Circuit of Champions tour in 2013. Holtgraver’s thrilling performance racing from 19th to second in the first 30-lap A-Main of the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup was followed up by an equally thrilling $5,000 All Star win in September at his home track. The Lernerville Speedway is thrilled to boast about having three former Track Champions on the tour full-time as Danny joins past/present All Star Champions Tim Shaffer and Dale Blaney on the All Star travelling roster.
To celebrate Danny’s new ride, Lernerville Speedway PR Director Eric Westendorf and Tyler Altmeyer of www.FullyInjected.com will debut the “In the Shop” podcast this weekend after hanging out with Danny and his cousin Josh in the Holtgraver Motorsports Race Shop Friday Night.
Josh, of course, is a standout FASTRAK Northeast Late Model driver and helped coordinate the King of the Hill race for the FASTRAK Northeast Late Models after Thursday Night’s practice session during the DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede weekend back in October.
Danny, along with his father and longtime car owner/crew chief “Big Dan” Holtgraver, organized the “Kickin’ for Cowboy” Charity Kickball game that same Steel City Stampede weekend on Saturday morning before the rains came.
So between their current and future plans, reminiscing about their days racing go-karts growing up and their recent contributions to the racing community, there will be a lot to talk about with the Holtgraver boys. But the focus of the “In the Shop” podcast is to allow the fans to get to know the drivers better, so if you have any questions for Danny or Josh Holtgraver, log on to Twitter and tweet a question to @Lernerville. If we read your question you’ll win a FREE hat or T-Shirt!
The “In the Shop” podcast will be released over the weekend, with future podcasts tentatively planned throughout the off-season featuring 2012 Late Model Track Champion Jared Miley, “The Truth” Gregg Satterlee, third-generation Sprint car standout Brandon Matus, 2012 Ms. Firecracker Makayla Guidace and culminating with a Live podcast at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills car show in March. Other drivers may be contacted for future podcasts, but are also invited to reach out and invite us into their shop for future webisodes of “In the Shop!”
