GETTYSBURG, Pa. (January 15, 2024) – Another season is just around the corner for Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing, and as tradition has it, “Double-D” will kick-off competition with a trip to the Sunshine State, ready to battle head-to-head with not only the Greatest Show On Dirt, but also the High Limit Sprint Car Series.

Dietrich, who concluded his 2023 campaign with a $25,000 victory at BAPS Motor Speedway on Saturday, November 11, will ignite his Florida visit with DIRTcar Nationals competition at Volusia Speedway Park, all of which activating officially with an open practice session on Tuesday, February 6. Four straight days of World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series action will follow on Wednesday through Saturday, February 7-10.

Once DIRTcar Nationals action is complete, Double-D will switch directions and head southwest, anxious to join the High Limit Sprint Car Series in a two-day attack at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Florida, on Monday and Tuesday, February 12-13.

“We’re ready to get started,” Danny Dietrich, ace of the Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Cochrancars.com, York Excavating, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Self Made Racing, No. 48 sprint car, expressed. “We always look forward to getting to Florida. It gives us the opportunity to shake things down and get a feel for the car before things get rolling in Pennsylvania. We have some new partners on board, as well as a ton of great returning support, so it’s nice to get them some additional exposure. We’re going to roll down there ready to go and hopefully kick things off in a great way.”

Despite Dietrich’s Florida visit limited to just once a year, the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, native has certainly found comfort, scoring a World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series podium finish in their respective 2023 DIRTcar Nationals opener; one of seven top-tens with the Greatest Show On Dirt in 2023.

As it stands, Dietrich will kick-off his Pennsylvania schedule with Lincoln Speedway’s annual Icebreaker on February 24-25. Traditionally a one-day show, the now two-day Icebreaker Weekend will award $5,000-to-win each.
