Tony Stewart Racing sensation, Levi Jones, is seeking a record fifth USAC National Sprint Car Championship this season; and without any doubt, is on pace to do so. If Jones is able to pull off the championship this season, if would not only be his fifth USAC sprint car championship, but fifth in the last six years of competition. Jones’ dominance will likely continue this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, as he leads Chris Windom by 43 markers entering this weekend’s triple header.

The Amsoil USAC National Sprint Cars and USAC/CRA Sprint Cars visit the ‘PAS’ this weekend for the 16th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals. The top wingless sprint car drivers in the world will invade Perris Auto Speedway in Perris, California this weekend in hopes of qualifying for one of the 24 Oval Nationals starting spots on Saturday evening.

Preliminary action will kick off this Thursday evening, November 3rd- and conclude on Friday night, November 4th. During both nights of preliminary action, points will be calculated and tallied among all the competitors. The top 8 drivers after two night’s of preliminary racing will automatically be locked in to the first four (4) rows of Saturday night’s $12,500 to win Oval Nationals Finale! Chris Windom is the defending Oval Nationals Champion; with Damian Gardner and Levi Jones picking up the preliminary feature wins.

After this weekend’s event at Perris, the Amsoil USAC National Sprint Cars will have one event remaining on the 2011 schedule; with that being in Hanford, California on Saturday, November 12th.
