In case many have not seen the 2014 Lincoln Speedway Schedule has been released. It’s looks like it will be a very exciting season at the Pigeon Hills oval with many notable dates of interest for open wheel race fans in the area. 410 Sprints will be supported many weeks by the 358 Sprint Cars. And with the departure of the Thundercar division at the speedway it makes room for a variety of other divisions to take advantage.
The World of Outlaws will compete on two occasions: Wednesday, May 14th and Thursday, July 17th. There will also be a special $20,000 to win “Dirt Classic presented by Kasey Kahne” on Saturday Sept 27th. The All Star Circuit of Champions and USAC Eastern Tour will each visit one time this year. The popular Kevin Gobrecht Memorial- PA Speedweek event will be held on Saturday June 28th.
Many other familar special events will be run throughout the season including the Hank Gentzler Memorial, Weldon Sterner Memorial, the Annual Hilly Rife and Gohn Memorials will again be a big part of Lincoln’s schedule. The season starts on Saturday Febuary 22nd at 2PM with the Ice Breaker 30 for the 410 Sprints.
