PARSONS, Kan. (May 9, 2022) – It was a busy weekend at Port City Raceway for JJ Loss and JKL Racing, but despite the big agenda, big turnout, and big spotlight, the Parsons, Kansas, motorsports outfit performed well, eventually translating three divisions worth of competition into five NOW600 Series feature starts, highlighted with a top-ten outcome in the Winged A-Class weekend finale on Saturday, May 7. There were 46 cars in attendance in just that division.

Loss, driver of the Next Level Signs and Graphics Co., Driven Midwest, Journey Transport, White Pine Paving, Ryan Wilson, CSI, Keizer Performance Wheels, Radical Race Gear, No. 67 micro sprint, finished tenth in the Winged A-Class finale, driving ahead two spots after starting 12th on the feature grid.

Dubbed the Terry Walker Memorial, the Port City spectacle attracted more than just 46 Winged A-Class entries, but 61 Stock Non-Wing entries, too, with Loss qualifying for that particular weekend finale, as well. “The Boss” missed the top-ten by one position, ending his run 11th after starting 15th.

Perseverance being the weekend theme, Loss had to earn his Stock Non-Wing feature position the hard way, eventually winning his respective B-Main to ultimately qualify.

In addition, Loss was entered for action in the NOW600 Outlaw micro class, but engine issues during Friday’s preliminary erased all hope for another chance in Saturday’s finale.

“What a weekend for this team. It’s never easy racing multiple divisions in one weekend, but with the help of my family, anything is possible, and I’m proud to have them by my side,” JJ Loss said, a recent Winged A-Class Port City Raceway winner. “We have another big weekend ahead of us. I’m excited to see what we can do in Indiana.”
