PARSONS, Kan. (April 4, 2022) – It was a wild weekend on all fronts for JJ Loss and JKL Racing, and although the 14-year-old out of Parsons, Kansas, was not scheduled to compete in the micro ranks during the recent weekend, a visit to Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was the eventual destination, joining car counts approaching 50 for the track’s early season Spring Fling on Friday and Saturday, April 1-2. Loss’ original plans included a trip to Farmer City Raceway for the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series opener, but the event was canceled due to Mother Nature.

Although Loss’ luck ran short in his Stock Non-Wing starts, missing main event action in both of the Port City programs due to poor luck and bad timing, Loss kept his focus and performed well in each of his Winged A-Class starts, ultimately capping the weekend with 12th and 13th-place finishes, respectively. Loss highlighted his last minute trip to Tulsa with a five spot run on Friday night in the Spring Fling opener, advancing from 17th to finish 12th. The driver of the Next Level Signs and Graphics Co, Driven Midwest, Journey Transport, White Pine Paving, Ryan Wilson, CSI, Keizer Performance Wheels, Radical Race Gear, No. 67 got to that point by finishing third in his respective heat race, opening the program with the third-fastest time in his group qualifying effort.

Loss’ aforementioned Stock Non-Wing poor luck occurred in each of the weekend B-Mains, forced to surrender with nowhere to go as the result of other drivers’ mishaps.

ON DECK:
JJ Loss and JKL Racing will continue their 2022 micro campaign with a NOW600 Series doubleheader, this time visiting Dallas County Speedway in Urbana, Missouri, on Friday and Saturday, April 8-9.
