HANOVER, Pa. (April 15, 2024) – The competition was stout Sunday evening at BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven, Pennsylvania, and despite the loaded field cresting the 40-car mark, Hanover’s own JJ Loss and JKL Racing held their own, racing on to not only qualify for the evening’s $5,000-to-win main event, but scoring a heat race victory in the process. “The Boss” would go on to start BAPS’ main event from the outside of row two.
Loss, ace of the family-owned Next Level Signs & Graphics, Your Hometown Agents – Colby Jacobs & Neil Reichart Team, Diversified Cuts, Wolf’s Plumbing LLC, No. 67 sprint car, raced on to finish 19th in the 25-lapper, hanging tough despite miscalculating their night-ending set-up. Without saying, JKL Racing will clear their heads and reset, aiming their focus on the upcoming Weldon Sterner Memorial at Lincoln Speedway.
“We really weren’t expecting the track to do what it did, but regardless, I’m proud of what we accomplished,” Loss explained. “That was a tough field, and to get a heat race win to start the night really showed what we are capable of. There’s a lot of money on the line Saturday at Lincoln, so if we’re going to get some redemption, may as well do it then.”
ON DECK:
JJ Loss and JKL Racing will continue their 2024 campaign with a return visit to Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, April 20. The annual Weldon Sterner Memorial will award $20,000-to-win.
