By Fully Injected Motorsports:
ELIDA, OH (July 5, 2017) – Top Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions Rookie of the Year contender Max Stambaugh will continue his 2017 season with a visit to Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio; his second of two visits during the Arctic Cat All Star schedule, this time chasing high honors during the Ninth Annual Lou Blaney Memorial on Saturday, July 8.
Stambaugh, pilot of the Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc./Fastenal of Kenton/No. 33M, will enter the weekend with a pair of recent top-ten finishes to his credit, one of which during Arctic Cat All Star competition at Wayne County (OH) Speedway on Saturday, July 1. “Mad Max” started tenth on the Wayne County Speedway starting grid and finished ninth, automatically qualifying for the $5,000-to-win program by winning his respective heat race.
“Mad Max” finished seventh during an Ohio Sprint Car Series start at Atomic Speedway on Sunday, July 2, eventually charging forward from row 11.
“We had a pretty good weekend. I’m lucky enough to have a team that works hard and never gives up,” Stambaugh explained. “Our July schedule is really busy, especially with our All Star commitments. We’ve proven that we have the potential to be up front. I have a great car owner who believes in me and I have a great group of guys who dedicate a lot of time at the track and in the garage. I think we have a great shot at being one of the teams contending for a win this weekend at Sharon Speedway.”
“Mad Max” Stambaugh will enter the upcoming weekend not only as the top Arctic Cat All Star Rookie of the Year contender, but also fifth in the overall championship standings. The Elida, Ohio, native has earned four top-ten finishes during Arctic Cat All Star competition in 2017, qualifying for a total of 20 main events.
